FDA Introduces Smart Cards for Property Owners
FDA Smart Cards: A Milestone in Modern Property Management
The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has launched an innovative initiative to streamline property management in FDA-controlled residential and commercial areas. By introducing smart cards, the FDA aims to enhance convenience, security, and efficiency for property owners.
Smart Cards Now Available at One-Window Counter
FDA Director General announced that 2,367 smart cards have been prepared and are ready for collection at the FDA’s one-window counter. This service ensures a hassle-free experience for property owners, minimizing delays and paperwork. So far:
657 smart cards have been successfully distributed to property owners.
216 cards have been reissued due to ownership changes following property transfers.
1,494 smart cards remain available for collection.
Property owners in FDA-controlled colonies and commercial markets are encouraged to visit the one-window counter to collect their cards. The FDA has also provided necessary facilities to streamline the distribution process.
Why FDA Smart Cards Matter
The smart cards are a technological leap forward in property management, offering:
1. Enhanced Security: Prevents tampering and ensures authenticity of ownership records.
2. Efficient Processes: Simplifies property-related tasks like transfers, leasing, and sales.
3. Convenience: Eliminates the need for bulky paperwork, with all data securely stored on the card.
This initiative is part of the FDA’s broader goal to modernize urban property management and ensure transparency and efficiency in real estate transactions.
FDA’s Role in Community Welfare
Beyond property management, the FDA is actively involved in community-centric initiatives. For instance, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), under FDA’s umbrella, has been conducting awareness campaigns to combat dengue.
Recently, WASA’s Managing Director, Amir Aziz, directed the citizen liaison cell to visit schools for anti-dengue awareness. Students at the Government Girls Primary School on Chiban Road were educated about preventive measures such as:
Keeping homes clean and free from standing water.
Draining water from lawns, rooftops, and refrigerator trays.
Maintaining hygiene in streets and homes to prevent mosquito breeding.
